This is a classic design, oil/kerosene lantern. The lantern measures 12-inch tall and made of metal with a wired covered glass globe, fully adjustable cotton wick.

Cheap product = Cheap Price!
You cannot replace the wick, once the one that is in there has been removed, the mechanism will not take another one no matter how you try to load it.
If you are looking for a short-term use then this would be a fine product. 2 stars because its pretty much disposable.
I used Citronella Oil in them and it burns fine.

Very Disappointed-Review for Grady's, not the lantern
I placed an order with this company for Black lanterns on 10/26/2011 expecting to receive in 3-5 business days - in time for a party next week. They contacted me on 10/28/11 (2 days after my order) to say they could only send me green lanterns - I need black as ordered! I explain I need black and I need them on-time. They tell me they're sorry for the inconvenience and that if I don't want green then they will cancel my order. GREAT, now I don't have time to order new ones and guarantee them on time with another company - thanks a lot Grady's Online!!!!
This is a very attractive functional lantern. It was used as a functioning decoration and was lovely.

Con: Made of thin stamped steel, with a very flimsy feel. I ordered two, and both were slightly bent at the junction where the chimney sits on top of the fuel tank. Lighting this without burning your fingers and/or sooting up the glass requires incredible dexterity (more than I have). The fuel cap is also very lightly built, and will easily strip if you're not careful screwing it on.
Other: This is purely for light duty, and doesn't look like it will be long lasting. If you have only occasional power outages and want something besides candles for temporary light, this will work. Otherwise, look for something more sturdy (and expensive!)
